Generally speaking, in our region, rafting is practised from mid-March to the end of October, when temperatures allow.
The activity takes into account many factors that need to be brought together for its feasibility. Rafting is independent of the climatic conditions: level of the watercourse, weather, accessibility of the sites etc.
With Arteka, you will practice on easily accessible sites, and depending on rainfall, which in general does not pose a problem in the Basque country, guaranteeing a sufficient level of water to practice from spring to autumn.
The boat called mini-raft is a smaller boat than a classic raft , accommodating 3 to 5 teammates. Its resistance to the movement of water is thus reduced compared to a larger boat , but its stability still guarantees a great safety.
On board a mini-raft, the sensations are compounded. the water is faster, the waves more hollow and above all you will drive yourself your mini raft under the watchful eye of your monitor.
What really changes? What will really weigh in the choice of the boat remains the non-presence on board the monitor. In mini-raft, the monitor is on a boat nearby, which guarantees you a safe supervision and instructions and advice throughout the descent, but a certain autonomy in the navigation of the Boat.
For you, it will be an opportunity to launch yourself independently on the water without direct help, while keeping the safety of theguide nearby. It will also be an opportunity to work on your team spirit and the coordination of your partners!
ARTEKA Boats can accommodate 3 to 5 people. The monitor is not in the boat but guides you aboard another boat during the entire descent. All our instructors are qualified and graduated.
