Rafting, canyoning? The two terms are very often confused. Thus you will sail at the height of Bidarray, on a portion of river between Ossès and Bidarray. You will cross passages called "rapids", a section where the waters are agitated to spice up your descent and get your adrenaline pumping!
In order to manoeuvre the inflatable boat (between 5 and 8 people on board at Arteka), you will be equipped with one paddle per crew member.
Very stable, these discipline specific boats are unsinkable. Some parts of rivers inaccessible by "classic" boats can be used for rafting.
Depending on the difficulty of the route chosen for the Pyrenees rafting trip, the stability of the boat allows the most adventurous to take on the biggest rapids.
ARTEKA Bidarray Rafting boats can accommodate 5 to 9 people. They are inflatable boats, very stable on the water.
The monitor is in your raft. He acts as a helmsman, and steers the boat. His role is to guide you throughout the descent. All our instructors are qualified and certified.
